Error 1720 installing VPN on Vista

Hello,

I am attempting to install VPN Client 5.0.05.0280 on a user's 32-bit Vista Home Premium laptop. Every attempt results in an "Error 1720. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."

Buried in the msiexec logfile gives further detail:

Custom action CsCa_GetLocalPrivName script error -2146828283, Microsoft VBScript runtime error: Invalid procedure call or argument: 'GetObject' Line 3, Column 1, "

Can anyone tell me what the fix for this is, if any? Is it because the version of Vista is Home Premium and perhaps some networking components are missing/disabled?

Check whether the VPN client is running from the temporary folder.If so you can again download the VPN and run it from root directory.
