Error Message PM-SP-4-LIMITS: Virtual port count for [chars] exceeded the recommended limit of [dec]. My question is this: Will this error message if ignored, shut down any port(s)? I understand that it blocks certain vlans when the number is exceeded and I did read the explanation and what actions should be taken to correct this. I'm just wondering what would happen if this message was treated as informational vs. request an action to be taken. Thanks.

Re: Error Message PM-SP-4-LIMITS: Virtual port count for [chars]

This error messages is caused because a port creates a virtual port for each

vlan that has to cross a trunk link, and that they were exceeding this limit.

To your second question, this could create more connectivity problems if not

taken care of.
