External port on Concentrator

Hi,

I have an external interface on my concentrator. Can you use this interface to create VPN tunnels for the users?

Regards

Re: External port on Concentrator

please excuse me for misunderstanding.

just wondering if you are referring to the public interface of the concentrator. if so, there should be no drama at all to configure remote vpn access for mobile users.

Sorry,

Our concentrator have three interfaces, private, public and external. I wonder if you can use both the public and the external interface to connect vpn dialer with.

providing there is a second public ip, i don't think there would be any drama.

Do I have to have a public ip adress?

I want to use this interface for those people who connect wireless in our company.

Hi,

You can use either a public or private IP address on the external interface - it just depends on what your network topology is like.

The major thing is to ensure that you configure routing such that the packets go out of the right interface.

Hmm

I only get the message on the client

tcp syn send to X.X.X.X port 3638

I don't see any loggs on the concentrator

On the external interface I am useing Public Filter.
