failover active

we hv primary & secondary PIX firewall.Once the active fails the secondary takes care.

After sometime when primary comes back what cmd shd i use..

failover active at Original primary PIX or at secondary(whick is active now)?.

The failover active command should always be issued on the firewall that is shown as the standby when you do a "show fail". So if your show fail shows that

Primary - standby

Secondary - active

Then the fail active is done on the Primary

Hello...

thanks for ur info.u mean to say that if primary is under standby mode and if i want to enable to "ACTIVE"state i shd config "Failover active at the Primary PIX.correct?
