failover between 515 and 515E

Hi,

i have a 515 pix with unrestricted v6.2 and one dmz interface, i want to get a 515E foilover unit with 6 interfaces and v7.

is it possible to make the 515 and 515E work as failover after upgrading the 515 to v7?

to configure failover, both unit has to be identical. that includes the model, number of interfaces, os version, and memory etc.

thus, a pair of 515 and 515e is not feasible to be deployed as active/standby failover.
