failover question

Hi, I gather PIX 501 does not support failover. My question is, is it possible though to configure the following.

We have a major internet connection through VsAT and two backups through ADsl and another Vsat. each time the major ane goes down, i have to go and change cables and change IPs on the PIX. Can i just configure on the PIX an automatic change, so that when it notices one outside IP is not connected it looks for another one. secondly, how do i reset the PIX to factory settings?

Thanks

Daniel

Re: failover question

I don't know of a way to do what your looking to do. There are other ways to provide redundant paths. You could put a router or multi-layer switch behind or in front of the Pix's and configure something like HSRP or OSPF to handle the routing.

Erase config:

write erase

confirm

reload

boots to factory defaults
