one of our Customer facing typical issue. They are accessing internet websites through ISA Proxy server. Internet Bandwidth is 10Mbps(dedicated for this purpose). When they are trying to access some video footage in internet website from local LAN Zone, there is no issue. But when they are accessing the same internet website from Remote zone, either the video is streamed delay or sometimes video is not getting downloaded. The connectivity between each Zone is 5 Mbps (dedicated for this purpose).
The video streaming is happening through RTMP where it will try direct transfer of data thru port 1935 else it will be encapsulated to port 80 or 443.In local Zone this encapsulation is happening automatically in the IE Browser or Mozilla itself. From Remote end, this automatic encapsulation is not happenning.IE version is 6.0.2 or 7.x and Mozilla is latest version. we have also tested with ISA client in Remote end, where we are not facing any issue with the same browsers.
Now we have updated all the browsers to the latest patch and check out the performance. Right now 97% of the video footages are streaming normal. In FWSM device, only default inspection rule is configured and RTMP is not inspected in Cisco Firewalls.
Now, whether there is any configuration change need to be done in the FWSM device which is connecting the different zones.
