FWSM Stateful Failover issue

Dear Sir,

Two FWSMs are deployed on separate Catalyst 6513 switches. The FWSMs are configured for inter-chassis failover. I also configured stateful failover. The FWSMs are running software version 2.3(3) and the Cat6513 are running Native Cisco IOS software.

The FWSM has 6 routed contexts and is monitoring 24 interfaces for failover. The following is output of "show failover" on the Standby FWSM. The "rerr" counters for "TCP NPs" and "UDP NPs" keep increasing rapidly. Is this normal or is it indicating some potential problems? I have two more pairs of FWSM elsewhere on the network, but they don't exhibit the same problem.

Please help.

Hi All,

In case you can't see the output of "show failover" clearly, please refer to attached file.

Thank you.
