Gateway to the internet (route command)

I want to connect my PIX 501 firewall to my cable modem. But the problem is that my cable modem ip address is set my dhcp and therefore when i want to configure my firewall i don't know what address to put under the route command. Does anyone knows under route outside command which address do i put since the cable modem which is the gateway to the internet ip address is set by dhcp. Please Help!!!

I feel in this case u need to consult the same with the SP to get the IP of the Access Server or the G/W box ip address which you can set in ur PIX firewall.

I am assuming the cable modem interface connected to the Internet gets ip address via dhcp. If that is the case, what is the ip address of the cable modem interface connected to your network.

Thanks people for the replies. I already got the solution but i not yet confirm that it works. I will be doing a test tomorrow and will let u all know the solution to the problem.
