I have a Cisco 1720 Router and want to have support for 56 Bit IPSec Protocol.Current IOS version is 12.0.(c1700-y-mz) with 16 MB Dram and 4 MB Flash RAM.
VPN will be installed on a Hardware Based Firewall and not on Cisco Router.
If you’re not terminating the VPN on the router, no changes should be needed. Just make sure you’re not using NAT (unless the VPN box supports NAT transparency) and your access-lists (if any) are not blocking the IPSEC protocols and ports.
