Generic Buffer Overflows and SSHD CRC32

While looking through the Signatures I realized there was not a signature to catch the ssh crc32 buffer overflow. I was wondering when there will be a signature for this and if there are any plans to do some generic buffer overflows such as a generaic x86 overflow. This would at least catch many of these attacks while waiting for an exact signatures to be released.

Re: Generic Buffer Overflows and SSHD CRC32

The ssh buffer overflow signature will be available in the next update 3.0(3)S12.

The signature update team will look into if a generic buffer overflow signature is possible.

The signature update cycle is a 2 week cycle and we try to get the latest signatures out to the user s asap.
