I have configured a GRE tunnel between two routers. The ASA is placed between the two routers. Tunnel destination on both ends are able to ping each other but tunnel IPs can't ping each other. Also tunnel line protocol is down. I have allowed gre on ASA from outside to inside and from inside to outside interface. Kindly give me suggestions. Its very urgent.
1) Check your routes, there has to be a valid route in the routing table for the tunnel to know where the destination is
2) Double check you are allowing protocol 47 to pass from the "outside" to the "inside"
3) Check your NAT in the ASA.
