Im still learning about ACL's and how they work, but I have one question. I have taken the static IP from a clients @home system and placed it inside my ACL's list on the 2 2600's we are running at work. On the server side I have PPTP running because im not too familiar with IPSec yet but reading up on it. Now, I have the client attach and they do get to my NT server and get authenticated on the domain, but they cannot browse the network. Am I missing something on the TCP/IP protocol or maybe something in my ACL's list that is keeping them from browsing my internal network or some packets/ports that aren't returning the information? I read about GRE packets and certain ports that need to be opened, but can someone steer me in the right direction possibly? I feel like my head is spinning from everything I have been reading the past months. Im really just curious as to How one would go about setting up a VPN on a Cisco without using a concentric.
You have to use a WINS server for netbios name resolution or Ive read somewhere that you can try to use broadcast to unicast configuration on your router. This is bandwidth intensive so Ive never done that.
Login to the FXOS chassis manager.
Direct your browser to https://hostname/, and log-in using the user-name and password.
Go to Help > About and check the current version:
