Help me to manage my IDS

I have sensor 4230 ver 3.1(3) S40

I manage the IDS by IDM ver 2.1 , but problem in loggin

I have CSPM Ver 2.3.3 can i manage IDS ver 3.1(3) with this managment software.becuse the CSPM is not support this verssion.

help me.

CSPM does support all 3.1 versions, you just need to upgrade CSPM's signature level from here:

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/cspm

Keep in mind that you can only manage the sensor from one management application, either CSPM or IDM, not both. If you make the decision to use CSPM then that is what you have to use always.

The ver of CSPM is 2.3.3 can I upgrate ver 2.3.3 to ver 3.1 by using this update

and can I apply all update in this upgrate file in this link or the newer only.

Can help and Suggest to me the beat way to manage IDS system.

Correct me : I using CSPM to configure , report and backup the IDS configuration can I go with this by IDM configuration but report and backup configuration what can i do.
