Help with VPN!

Hi,

I have a Cisco 1720 router that has the only public IP on the network. I have just put a PIX 506 firewall behind it on a private IP.

The Cisco 1720 is performing NAT on all packets. The PIX is not doing NAT.

Because I cant address my pix on a public IP I am pointing my VPN client at the routers Public IP, but I dont think that it is passing on the IPSEC packets! I am using the PIX to create the VPN tunnel and authenticate the remote VPN clients.

I am using Cisco VPN client ver 3.5 and 3DES.

What do I need to allow through the router? Or is it possible to do what I am trying to do!?

Thanks

Re: Help with VPN!

This is a sample config that you can follow to base your config for what you want to do :

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/471/ios_pat_ipsec_tunnel.html .

Please taken note of the version of router that support this static esp and static isakmp feature.
