Not sure if you are looking for any specific clarifications on the trasnparent mode, but as far as FWSM concerns, configuration for FWSM is the same, regardless of which mode you use. Please, refer to the following link -
but i know the netscreen ' trasnpaarent mode is very easy,you set a manager ip only.
i dont' know the FWSM as same as the netscreen.
