How Sensor forward alert events to IEV , internal architecture??

Hi

pls assist, trying to understand how IEV get the event alerts.

Is it like the IDE using https(ssl/tls)?

Is the setting of the internet browser location on the IEV for that purpose?

So the events are sent in XML format?

Thx

Ben

Re: How Sensor forward alert events to IEV , internal architectu

IEV connects to the HTTP(S) port of the sensor and executes a query for the events on the sensor.

The web client which IEV uses is a java based client embedded within IEV itself.

The events sent back from the sensor are in XML format.

There is an RDEP (Remote Data Exachange Protocol) specification that explains how IEV (and other clients) can connect to the sensor and pull events.

Contact the TAC if you want the RDEP specification.
