Re: How to Allow ICMP to the PIX interfaces?

I would like to ping the outside interface from the external side and the inside interface from the inside LAN

thanks

Re: How to Allow ICMP to the PIX interfaces?

you should be able to ping the inside PIX interface (usually your gateway),

if you are a user on the same inside LAN (from what I remember)

if not mirror the command below

to allow an external address to ping the outside PIX interface address is possible but I would not recommend opening this up.

if you add this line onto the outside interface access-list

access-list acl_outside per ic any OUTSIDE_PIX_INT_IP

oops - forgot 'HOST'

access-list acl_outside per ic any host OUTSIDE_PIX_INT_IP
