How to configure lan-to-lan network autodiscovery between VPN 3000 and PIX

For a failover configuration i would like the network autodiscovery function of the VPN concentrator (lan-to-lan), which uses rip via the ipsec tunnel (my assumption).

at the other end is a pix fw terminating the tunnel. is there a way to get the pix communicating via rip with the vpn concentrator safely over a wan link ?

vpn ---- router -------wan----- router-----pix

|---------------ipsec-tunnel---------------|

your help is appreciated.

It is my understanding that autodiscovery only works if the lan to lan tunnel is between VPN concentrators, so in your case ,con - to - pix, this would not be possible
