In the vpnclient.ini file in th emain install directory there's a section as follows:

[GUI]

AdvancedView=0

If this setting is 0 then the GUI is in imple Mode, 1 = Advanced Mode. With this, and any other setting in any of the .ini files, if you add an exclamation mark to the start of the line that greys out the option via the GUI. So manually edit this file so it looks like:

[GUI]

!AdvancedView=0

Then run th eGUI and it'll start in Simple Mode, and the menu option for Advanced mode will be greyed out. You can automate the initial settings in this file upon installation by following the instructions here:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/vpn/client/rel4_0/admin_gd/vcach2.htm

Of course a smart user can edit this file, remove the exclamation mark, rerun the GUI and go into Advanced Mode, but it'll stop 99.99% of users.

thank you.
