How to filter outbound traffic on a pix

I need to know what steps are necessary to filter outbound traffic.

Re: How to filter outbound traffic on a pix

My perimeter router is a 7206. I have two connections to the "internet". These two connections are fastethernet interfaces.

I use the route-map command to determine what internal traffic goes out what fastethernet interface.

Hope that helps.

You can use an "access-list" applied to the Inside interface to permit what traffic you would like to be able to go out the PIX. All other traffic would be denied (filtered) by the implicit "deny ip any any" at the end of the access-list.

Sincerely,

David.
