My machine has Windows 2000 SP2 on it. I had to reinstall it. All my other programs I reinstalled fine. However, when I try to re-install CSPM ver. 2.3.3i I get this message "Setup has detected that you uninstalled a product on this computer that has marked files to be deleted upon reboot. You must reboot this computer before you can install Cisco Secure Policy Manager." I rebooted and still get the same message. I have tried moving the folder CSPM runs from with no success. How can uninstall CSPM manually?

there are 2 things you can do:

1.

remove the 2 registry keys

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\currentcontrolset\control\session manager\pendingfilerenameoperation

(actually 2 keys sessionmanager & session manager)

delete pendingfilerenameoperation and/or rename key.

2. In the file

C:\%WINDIR%\wininit.ini,

remove the line "[rename]"

between the two of these items, it should work.
