How to open specific port

I have a request from a user to open port 1494. Our pix has conduit commands. The inside network is 10.1.0.0 - specifically 10.1.16.0. What conduit command would I need to use?

Re: How to open specific port

All depends on exactly what you are trying to do.

If you want to open that port on all hosts on the network, use:

conduit permit tcp any eq 1494 any

If you want to open the port for a specific IP (I.e. you have a STATIC entry in the PIX for the live IP, then use:

conduit permit tcp host [the live IP goes here] eq 1494 any

Hope this helps,

Hans
