How to remove PDM from the PIX.

How do you remove PDM from a PIX (520) running 6.1.3? It is stored in its own partition in the FS. Is there a command or procedure to remove it?

You cannot uninstall or remove PDM from flash. Although you can use 'clear pdm' command to remove all locations, disables logging and clears the PDM buffer.

Also you can use 'clear flashfs' command which clears Flash memory completely. You can then upgrade PIX OS from the rommon etc.

Re: How to remove PDM from the PIX.

We've tried to erase the flash via 'clear flashfs', but every time we upgrade or reboot or wr mem or whatever - it recreates the file system. Where is it recereating the file system from if we are clearing the flash?

Could you provide me step by step instructions so I can see where I am going wrong?

Thanks for your help...
