We are a large enterprise with one network (about 250 cisco routers, IP address 10.x.x.x, +200 POPs) and now we need to split this network in 4 diferent and isolated networks (the enterprise was divided in 4 subsidiaries). We are thinking to use VPN to separate the networks. Somebody discourage us? It's better to build 4 separate WANs networks ?
This sounds like it wont be an easy task. I would say you are probably better off doing this Physically by a network redesign and then just use VPN to connect the sites for specific shared resources. I cant imagine administering the vpns any other way. I would suggest you get your Cisco design team involved.
