I Can not Ping my IPSec Remote Server from my 3002

I can not ping my 3005 IPSec Remote Server from my 3002. If I change the remote server config to another IP address on my 3002, then I CAN ping the original correct address okay! But then, I can not ping the random device that I substituted.

Simply put, I can not ping something that is configured as the Remote Server on my 3002. I CAN ping any valid address on the Internet from the 3002, just not what is configured as the Remote Server.

I have tried configuring several different ports for the IPSec link and had the same results.

In reverse, I can ping the 3002 Hardware Client from my 3005 only sporadically. Again, if I change the config on the 3002, I can ping it all day long from the 3005. I do have other active software clients running on my 3005 while this happens.

Anybody got any ideas?

What you described is not normal. What if you boot the 3002 ignoring the existing config, and reconfig it completely?
