I successfully upgraded my pix 520 from v4.4 to version 5.1.

During the upgrade my running config file was overwritten with an earlier version. I had to correct some statements.

If I do a "sh flash: I see:

file 0:origin:0 length 1597496

file 1:origin1597952:length:6447

file 2:origin:0 length: 0

file 3:origin:2096640 length:140

Can you explain how to remove un-needed files from flash?

Re: I successfully upgraded my pix 520 from v4.4 to version 5.1.

You use the clear flashfs. !!The flash should only be cleared if you are downgrading!! There is no need to remove any files from the flash memory on the PIX.

For more information please check the command reference for 5.1 at the following url look for "flashfs"
