IDS losing connection after writing access list

Has anyone else run into the problem of the sensor losing connectivity to the CSPM host after writing an access list to a router? The IDS is version 3.1(2)S24. The connection usually bounces up and down about 6 or so times whenever an access list is written to the outside routers. It occurs on more than one signature. Any ideas?

I discovered what the problem was. I received a new sensor box and configured it like the old ones. For some reason the heartbeat I had set was too low now for that sensor. I increased the heartbeat from 5 to 15 and it seems to be working fine now. Just wanted to share the information in case anyone else runs into this.
