Recently, my IDS Security Monitor server has stopped running crucial reports. I have attempted to even run the most basic of reports that contain little data and querying. Is there anything that I can check?

Maybe you want to clean up some event entries from the database and then run a backup to reclaim the disk space used by the idsmdc.log file.
Cleanup utility is idspruning.exe.... details below;
After cleanup, on the VMS server, VPN/Security MgmtSoln--> Administration---> CommonServices--> Backup Database.
Now try running the reports.

Thanks for the information. I want to make sure that I'm doing this right:
I have deleted the millions of alerts that I do not need through the VMS SecMon Event Viewer, now I run 'idspruning -r"alerts" -p'.
Does that sound right?

Yes Coby. I'll do the
idspruning -r"alerts" -p
idspruning -r"syslog" -p ===> if necessary
then run the backup from the VPN/Sec Management Soln-->--> Administration---> CommonServices--> Backup Database
and then run the reports.
Thanks,
