ids4 rdep parser - perl xml parser

Hi,

We are using Perl XML Parser to parse the xml files generated by IDS4. My problem is with the IP address of the victim that sometimes/randomly (usually once in several log file of which size is 1.5MB) cannot be parsed correctly. In my observation, it happens to only 1 victim of an event alerts that has multiple victims (15 victims).

If I cut and paste that particular event alert into a new log and parse it, everything will work fine. I can also confirm the wellformness of that xml log file using the XML Spy. So, it's a valid xml file. I try this on both Perl5.6 and 5.005_03.

Does anyone seeing the same problem as mine?

Thanks,

Rusma

Re: ids4 rdep parser - perl xml parser

I think this issue is releated to the Perl application. If you give TAC a call with the "xml file" they should be able to rule out if it's an issue on their end. Good Luck!
