IdsAlarms: Tunning message to the Audit Log report ?

Hi,

The command IdsAlarms purges events from the DB. When you execute this command it returns an event to the Management on how many events have been purged. You see these events with an Audit Log report.

Is there a way to tune the message sent by IdsAlarms to the Management console ?

thanks

Re: IdsAlarms: Tunning message to the Audit Log report ?

The Alarm Export Utility command-line application, the idsAlarms utility can be used for reading, archiving, deleting , marking for deletion or for unmarking events in the database. The options supported by IdsAlarms.exe are described in the document at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/sw/cscowork/ps3991/products_user_guide_chapter09186a00800e4368.html#xtocid1 under the section 'Alarm Export Utility'.

Re: IdsAlarms: Tunning message to the Audit Log report ?

I know very well this application... just run it and then execute an 'Audit Log' report in IDS MDC. You will see a event message like

" Alarm Export: 880 Alarm records marked for deletion. " due to IdsAlarms.exe

I would like to know if there is a way to tune this message ?

regards
