Solved: IDSM 1 upgrade

Cisco IDS Active Update bulletin #67 says that Signature Support for Cisco IDS 3.x will be end Feb, 2004. I have IDSM 1, how can I upgrade to IDS 4.x ?

Hi,

Unfortunately, IDS 4.0 code is not going to support the IDSMv1. We are going to continue updates for the 3.X train until Feb, 1004 (as you pointed out) but at that time, all new updates will only be in the 4.X train. You will need to migrate to an IDSMv2 in order to move forward with future code. You may want to talk to your local Cisco account team about a migration plan. Hope this helps.
