Implementing VPN/FIREWALL on a cisco 1720

I have two cisco 1720 with the full bundle (vpn/firewall)my question is 1) can i implement a site to site vpn and firewall on the same devices?

If so where can i find some configuration examples?

Would the devices be taking any performance hits when operating as a vpn/firewall/router in one.

Thanks in advance

Re: Implementing VPN/FIREWALL on a cisco 1720

Take a look at the configuration examples at http://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/Support/PSP/psp_view.pl?p=Internetworking:IPSec&s=Implementation_and_Configuration and http://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/Support/PSP/psp_view.pl?p=Software:Cisco_IOS_Firewall.

Yes, there will be a performance hit by running IOS firewall and IPSEC on the same box but if you’re running 1700’s, it’s probably not going to be any slower than the available bandwidth you have. The 1700 is a good solution for two small offices of a few hundred users or less.
