Interop with certain IPSec features?

I was wondering if any of these features are interoperable with other vendors?

1. crypto dynamic-map

2. DMVPN

Thanks,

Greg

Re: Interop with certain IPSec features?

IPSec is a standard so as long as the other vendor conforms to that standard then you should be able to connect the device.

You can certainly create a LAN-to-LAN tunnel with another vendor and use a dynamic crypto map if you like, that will work. If you mean can you use a dynamic crypto map with other vendors VPN clients, then probably not, most clients do have some proprietary stuff in them (certainly ours does). The old SafeNet client should still work as this was our original VPN client, but you'll probably run into issues with Nortel's and the like.

As for DMVPN, this is proprietary so no, it won't work with other vendors.

The dynamic crypto map config I was looking for was for LAN-to-LAN tunnel. Cisco box has a dynamic crypto map acting as hub and other vendor box is a spoke. Is this possible. Does the spoke have to have any special settings? Or is it the same config if the hub was using normal crypto maps?

Thanks,

Greg
