IOS Content Filtering certificate question

Hello,

Regarding the configuration of the Cisco IOS content filtering, the certificate that needs to be downloaded from this page (http://cisco.com/en/US/products/ps5854/products_configuration_example09186a0080816c23.shtml requests the router's IP address... What happens if this is a dynamic and not a static public ip address??

Ill be grateful with any input on this..

Thanks and regards,

Re: IOS Content Filtering certificate question

The auto cert install page asks for the ip address in order to go to the router and provision it by installing the cert on it.

So the router needs to have http enabled and then from this page you will give the ip address and the tool will ask you for the credentials on the router and will connect to it and install the cert needed.

If the ip address is dynamic it doesn't matter because you will need to install the cert only once.

I hope it helps.
