IOS IPSEC and MS File Copy

Hi All,

I have a number of 1801's and 1803's setup at a group of sites, they are all using IPSEC to encrypt traffic between the sites.

I'm having a problem when someone tries to copy a large (5mb or above) file from a MS 2003 server to a XP desktop over the link.

I think the problem is releated to the IP Inspect rules, if I remove the "ip inspect myfw out" line from dialer1, then the file copy is fine, but Internet access doesn't work as NAT is controlled by this I believe.

I've attached a copy of the config of one of the routers, this is basically the same for all routers (they are on 12.4(2)XA)

Thanks in advance for any ideas

Maurice

Re: IOS IPSEC and MS File Copy

What is your problem exactly? Does the file copy is slow or does not happen at all?

Looking at your config, I do not see any issues with your "inspect rules". They are very simple and straight forward. And also do not think that inspect rules will affect your NAT settings.
