Should I Update my IOS Pix software v5.3 (1) ??

Where can I see the advantages ( in security ) of new versions?

Hola Carla,

Yes it would be a good idea for you to upgrade your pix IOS on your 515 and it does depend on what sort of security you are thinking of - as different IOS versions have differnet features of security etc, a good place to compare IOS versions would be to search cisco.com on latest IOS release.

If I don´t do it soon! have I some holes of security?? or any kind of attack hacker´s risk??

Read them and see if you think an upgrade is necessary. You have to weigh up the odds yourself of running old code that is working for you, against running a newer code that may (albeit doubtful) introduce bugs into your environment.

Personally, I'd always stick with latest PIX code.
