ip verify reverse-path command

Can anyone give me some feedback on using the ip verify reverse-path command? Any known problems, especially with an Exchange server on the inside, blocking good traffic, not doing what it is supposed to do etc. etc.

Thanks in advance

Re: ip verify reverse-path command

The Ip verify reverse-path command checks the source IP address of a received packet. If a packet destined for the source address would use the same interface as it received the packet on, it is considered valid. In a simple environment (the Firewall is the only way out) you should not expect any problems using this feature. Its purpose is to prevent IP spoofing.
