IPSEC on 7500 with vip2-40

Hi,

I heard that cisco IOS don't support ipsec tunnel in 7500 with vip2-40. But on the Cisco documention it looks like 7500/vip2-40 does support ipsec.

Anybody have any idea why or any explanation.

VIP card doesn't support IPSec processing natively in the card. Processing is done in RSP. The VIP doesn't have the capability as yet to natively handle processing of IPSec. That is an enhancement request you could take with your account team.
