ISDM and syslog?

Does anybody know if it is possible to send syslog messages directly from the IDSM or alternatively, if it is possible to accept the postoffice messages using a syslogd style service on a unix/linux platform.

Not possible

Not directly.

You would need to use the Unix Director software which can communicate with the sensor.

Then you would have to create your own script that would convert a postoffice style message into a syslog message.

Then get Unix Director to execute your script (using eventd) for the alarms that you want to see as syslog messages.
