Hello,

Please i need to know if NAT will work between and l2tp tunnel. I have a LAC that links an ISP LNS, I want to implement NAT inbetween so that the multiple users that link up to the LAC can have NAT assigned ip address while maintaining the L2TP tunnel to the ISP.

L2TP provides full support of dynamic IP address allocation from an IP address pool maintained by the enterprise, including full support of the private addresses defined in RFC 1918. L2TP also supports dynamic address allocation from the DHCP server. Cisco IOS software supports network address translation (NAT) while preventing internal "inside addresses" from being published to the outside world.” You might want to check out some sample configs like http://www.cisco.com/warp/customer/707/overload_public.html

in the TAC section. Not sure what router you have though.

This is another good link on Cisco’s site: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/pd/iosw/prodlit/l2tun_ds.htm
