On Cisco VPN Client 4.6 you have the option for local lan access on a vpn profile. When vpn into a network even though this option is ticked i am unable to connect to local area resources not resources provided by the VPN tunnel. We are utilising vpn con 3000 on version 4.1. Any ideas how i resolve this ?

Hi,

as far as I know, you have to configure split tunneling in your VPN concentrator. The client gets the settings from the concentrator and can´t override them.

Hope this helps

split tunneling needs to be configured on the concentrator.

1. network list

go configuration | policy management | traffic management | network lists, and click "add".

put the concentrator inside subnet or the list of resources to be accessed by remote vpn client.

2. enable split tunneling

go configuration | user management | groups, and select the remote vpn group.

select "only tunnel networks in the list" for "split tunneling policy"; and then select the network list being created for "split tunneling network list".
