Log Command

What is the command on a Cisco PIX to see the traffic that is passing through it in real time. I would like to see the traffic in real time to be able to troubleshoot an internal client (sonicwall) trying to connect to external Sonicwall.

Re: Log Command

Hi,

Use the following command to start a capture:

capture [access-list ][buffer ] [ethernet-type ][interface ] [packet-length ] [circular-buffer]

As you can see, you have a number of different options with this:

- capture traffic matching an ACL

- capture all traffic on an interface

etc.

Once you do that, use the 'show capture ' command to view what was captured.

Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.
