Major issue with symantec 100

i have a remote site - connected to cable modem - 256k up, 1mb down - site-to-site withmy cisco 3015. It's EXTREMELY slow. If I connect via the ipsec client, it's faster. But site-to-site is very slow. Anyone else have similar issues? i called cisco and they do not have any information and i can't find anything else on this.

Here are a couple of things you could look into. Firstly, try pinging out and see if the response time is good enough. That will help you isolate the problem as an ISP or a VPN problem. If the problem is indeed with the VPN setup, one of the first things you could try is playing with a smaller mtu. Do the cable/dsl modems have PPPOE adapters? If so the issue may be mtu related and you should lower the mtu on the PPPOE adapter.
