Mapping Drive Failure in ASA 5500 VPN SIte to Site Tunnel

Hello Everyone,

we ahve an issue where there is an ASA 5510 creating a site to site tunnel to an ASA 5505. The 5505 side can do name resolution to the 5510 side with no problems. The 5510 side can do name resolution to the 5505 side with the exception of being able to map a drive. The are having to use the "Net Use" command on each side since netBIOS traffic will not flow across an IPSec tunnel. Does anyone have any idea what to look for on the 5510 side (or even the 5505 side) as to what might be causing mpping of drives to fail? The tunnel on the 5505 sie is configure to allow all traffic pass through the tunnel. Not 100% sure about the 5510 side though but name resolution does work for everything BUT mapping drives.

Thans in advance. All replies rated

have you tried ping with big packets? like 1500 bytes?

If it's the problem you should use:

crypto ipsec df-bit clear

(something like this)

Or in interface:

ip tcp adjust-mss 1300

rate if useful
