MARS Monitoring PIX CPU Utilization

Is there a way that I can get my MARS box to watch for a user defined CPU utilization on my PIX 5x5? There is an event (1211003) that is defined as CPU utilization of 100%, but I'd like one for 40%. Is that even possible?

Probably not [using that event type anyway]. That event type directly corresponds to a syslog message from the pix saying the CPU utilization was >100% for some period of time.

I'm not sure if there's a syslog message you can use for that. Are you using SNMP to the PIX and do you have monitor resource usage enabled? We don't use PIX, but I suspect this might do what you want. Surely there's someone on the forum using the PIX that knows the answer to this?
