Master password on 3500XL?

I was told that Cisco can supply a master password to login to a switch if given the serial number and mac. Does anyone know of this?

I've never heard of such thing. I find it highly suspect as being urban legend.

I know they use they have the capability on the ONS15454 box but I'd agree on the urban legend theory for their other stuff

There is no such thing on 3500XL series switches. You can use the password recovery mechanism mentioned in the below URL
