I'm looking at putting a PIX in a small school of about 250 users with 150-200 workstations. I would like to use a 506E because of the price but want to make sure it will be big enough. I'm assuming that the 10,000 concurrent session will be enough to handle a school district of this size. Is that correct, or am I wrong on this?
"how long is a piece of string?". if you have a web cache this might be ok, but it will depend on the traffic profile, outgoing link speed, etc, along with the users performance expectations. a local cache should get you over the line with a 506E.
