Hello,
is there way to migrate a feature from one ASA to another one? In fact my old ASA with SEC PLUS got damaged and now I want to move the SEC PLUS feature to the new one. Is this possible?
Greetings

If your damaged ASA is under maintenance then yes the license can be transfered. You'll have to open a TAC case for that. If your ASA is not under maintenance, then there is no way to move the license over.
Hope it helps.

Thank you for reply.
My ASA is not under maintenance. Finaly I find this solution very sad. Such a license is relatively expensive and has to go to the garbage along with the device.

Martin,
Investing in SmartNet when you purchase a Cisco device helps when something like what you describe occurs. Keeping that device under SmartNet is a small price to pay over the lifetime of that device. And if something does go wrong then you have a course of action that gives you options and potentially will allow you to transfer a license to a new device if the old device should fail.
SmartNet is money well spent over the course of time.
