My PIX-515-R-BUN support one aditional ethernet card to install DMZ? I have only 2 integrated ethernet interfaces. Thanks.

Yes, that Pix wiil support a third ethernet. Just install it on the top slot on the 515. This will not require an IOS upgrade. Also note that an Intel 10/100 pci nic would work also in this box instead of ordering it from Cisco.

This is not absolutely true.

1. While Cisco cards are based on Intel chipset, 6.1 and later will not work with non-Cisco h/w

2. This configuration is not supported. More to say - it's HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.

3. You expect PIX to be secure and reliable.

If you use it as your company firewall you depend on it. Think twice before playing with PIX h/w config - it can be like "buying big headache for just a few $$"

BTW - "Technical Suport" means helping people avoid problems - not finding them :-)

Eugene
